Feb 29, 2024Your knowledge of certain verb and preposition combinations will certainly be tested on the TOEIC® exam. Account For is a good example of the kind of vocabulary that is often tested in Part V and Part VI.

- We need to account for all of the money that should be in the cash box.
- The boss said that after the trade show, we were unable to account for all of the laptops.
👉 Keep in mind the best way to remember phrasal verbs like this in English is to take the phrasal verb, write it in a sentence that's true for you or true in your world, and then memorize your sentences.
