TOEIC Phrasal Verb Lesson - Catch Up
Oct 10, 2023Your knowledge of phrasal verbs will certainly be tested on the TOEIC® exam. Catch Up (on) is one of the phrasal verbs that often appears in Part V and Part VI.
Catch up (on) means to do spend time doing someting that you didn't do before or didn't do yet.
- I only missed two days of work, but I have over two hundred emails to catch up on.
- Ms. Presley was absent from her French class and had a difficult time catching up.
- I have so much work to do after my vacation. It’s going to take a week to catch up.
👉 Keep in mind the best way to remember phrasal verbs like this in English is to take the phrasal verb, write it in a sentence that's true for you or true in your world, and then memorize your sentences.
👉 You can even take your sentences and write them in the comments below. I would love to see your examples.
