TOEIC Phrasal Verb Lesson - Catch On (Understand)
Oct 01, 2023Your knowledge of phrasal verbs will certainly be tested on the TOEIC® exam. Catch On is one of the phrasal verbs that often appears in Part V and Part VI.
Catch on has a few meanings, but for this lesson, catch on means to understand something.
- The students in this class always catch on quickly.
- The teacher’s clear explanation made it easy for the students to catch on.
- My French language skills are not good enough to catch on to what the speakers were discussing at the conference.
👉 Keep in mind the best way to remember phrasal verbs like this in English is to take the phrasal verb, write it in a sentence that's true for you or true in your world, and then memorize your sentences.
👉 You can even take your sentences and write them in the comments below. I would love to see your examples.
