toeic phrasal verbs Sep 07, 2023

Your knowledge of phrasal verbs will certainly be tested on the TOEIC® exam. Catch On is one of the phrasal verbs that often appears in Part V and Part VI.

Catch on has a few meanings, but for this lesson, catch on means to become popular.

  1. I wonder how long it will take for our new line of shoes to catch on.
  2. The Rubik's Cube caught on quickly.
  3. Because of the iPod, Sony’s MD player never really caught on.

👉 Keep in mind the best way to remember phrasal verbs like this in English is to take the phrasal verb, write it in a sentence that's true for you or true in your world, and then memorize your sentences.

👉 You can even take your sentences and write them in the comments below. I would love to see your examples.
