Podcast English Lesson - Linking & Liaison Part 2

podcast pronunciation Mar 14, 2021

Today, I’d like to continue our discussion about English pronunciation, specifically liaison and linking. In this lesson, we’re going to look at what happens when a word ends with a certain letter or sound and the next word begins with that same letter or sound – like, good dog or big game. Those two letters or sounds blend together to form one sound, so there is no stopping between the words. Good Dog becomes Guh-dog. Big Game become Bih-game. Understanding this kind of pronunciation will help your speaking and listening skills. Let’s get right into it!

Here are the example sentences. To get the details of this English lesson, you need to listen to the podcast or get the transcript for the details.
